Services provided:
- Internal soft strip and demolition back to shell of the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th floors of the maternity building
- Demolition of all internal blockwork dividing walls
- Removal of floor covering throughout
- Removal of external glazing to 2nd, 3rd, and 4th floors
Scope of works:
This project consisted of the soft strip and demolition back to shell of the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th floors of the maternity building at Pilgrim Hospital, while working in collaboration with our asbestos removal contractor.
The project was logistically challenging, operating within a live hospital environment directly above live floors of the maternity building, whereby it was imperative operations were not disturbed as a result of our works. The utilisation of an external hoist system optimised waste disposal, and enabled the separation between hospital activities and construction activities.
Continued communication between all parties was key on this project to ensure the safe delivery of works.
