Scope of works:

Works at Paddock Road Depot were completed directly for the Local Authority. The site had been disused for several years, and had been subject to unauthorised access, while being used as a dumping ground in recent years. Works included the clearance of the site and surrounding areas, and the demolition of derelict structures.

The project was constrained by the presence of great crested newts, and works to clear the site of overgrown vegetation, and large volumes of general rubbish, were carried out under an ecological watching brief. The processing and clearance of specified areas was carried out in a controlled manner, to ensure the presence of any newts was dealt with in accordance with the ecologists

recommendation . Following site clearance, and the completion of demolition works, external palisade fencing was constructed to fully secure the site.
